Service Description
April 10 - 12, 2026 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Instructor and ABS Journeyman Smith Ed Clarke will be teaching you the basics of forging Damascus steel. Students will experiment with basic patterns such as Random, Raindrop, Twist, Ladder, and W’s. Instruction will include classroom and shop time. Students will create Two (2) 5 pound patterned billets, with Basic Damascus Patterns of their choice. “Seasoned Beginner”- previous experience forging is a must, however, students are not required to have forge welding experience. Students must have a level of comfort with the power hammer and forging press, as well as heat and spark tolerance.”
